New markets, including Croatia, are opening up to the possibility of purchasing energy from renewable sources. #RESource2023<\/a> is the premier platform for networking, learning and creating new deals with industry leaders from both the buyer and producer sides of renewable energy. On Friday, October 27, Maja Pokrovac<\/a> will participate in the Market Zoom In: Croatia & SEE panel, and the key messages of the development of #PPA<\/a>\u00a0 contracts in Croatia that she will highlight at the conference are:<\/p>\n

\u27a1 this year alone, 3 new PPA contracts were signed, which contracted the construction of 100 MW of new renewable capacities
\n\u27a1this is a significant achievement precisely because in previous years, PPA contracts were mostly signed for a period of several years for already built RES projects
\n\u27a1it is necessary to speed up the development of renewable projects, because without new ##OIE<\/a>\u00a0 there are no PPA contracts either
\n\u27a1RE-Source Croatia conference, organized by OIEH on 17.3. 2023 in Zagreb, confirmed the importance of the development of PPA contracts and attracted more than 300 participants
\n\u27a1a few years ago it was extremely difficult to talk about PPA contracts and explain their benefits, but the large turnout of participants in the RE-Source Croatia conference confirmed that both buyers and producers of renewable energy are interested in the faster development of PPA contracts in Croatia and the region
\n\u27a1banking sector is witnessing an increasing number of requests for financing RES projects through PPA contracts, and banks are working rapidly to adapt to this change in the market
\n\u27a1after the RE-Source Croatia conference, we note a large increase in inquiries for concluding new PPA contracts in Croatia
\nNext year, around 200 MW of new RES projects are expected to be contracted through PPA contracts
\n\u27a1it is necessary to recognize that companies of all sizes from all industrial sectors face obstacles when signing PPA contracts. It should be possible for small and medium-sized companies and ultimately citizens to be able to contract the purchase of green energy through these contracts.<\/p>\n
