This is the first conference in the region dedicated to PPA contracts on the purchase of green energy directly from producers. It is organized in cooperation with the European RE-Source platform, of which OIEH is a partner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Information and applications for participation:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info@oie.hr\">info@oie.hr<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When registering, it is necessary to enter the name and surname of the participant, the full name of the company, VAT number and the address of the company.<\/p>\n<p>The registration fee for participation in the conference is 100.00 Euro (VAT is included in the price)<\/p>\n<p>The development of PPA contracts is extremely important and the European Commission believes that they should play a central role in Europe\u2019s strategy for achieving the goals of the Green Plan in the field of renewable energy sources and climate. Energy-intensive industries, medium and small businesses, cities, and municipalities are intensively researching ways to decarbonize their energy consumption. Many companies in the world cover up to 100% of their energy needs through PPA contracts, ensuring supply with a defined fixed price of electricity for several years.<\/p>\n<p>The revision of the European electricity market places special emphasis on the development of PPA contracts. After the introductory presentation on PPA contracts in the EU, which will be held by\u00a0<strong>Stefano Miriello<\/strong>\u00a0from RE-Source Platform, the participants of the first panel will explain how a successful PPA is created in Croatia. The central part of the conference is dedicated to advanced models for the development of these contracts, and representatives of civic initiatives, industry and entrepreneurship will explain how to make these contracts accessible to everyone.\u00a0<strong>Naomi Chevillard<\/strong>\u00a0from SolarPower Europe will show how the revision of the EU electricity market could help the availability of these contracts to small and medium-sized enterprises companies and ultimately citizens. The last panel will introduce the possibilities of cross-border PPA contracts with international and domestic participants.<\/p>\n<p>The conference will gather representatives of national and international institutions, consultants, lawyers, buyers and producers of renewable energy, representatives of the financial sector, and representatives of civic and European initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>RES Croatia is the partner and national hub of the RE-Source platform, a place of knowledge and meeting of stakeholders of renewable energy sources dedicated to the development of PPA contracts. On this occasion,\u00a0<strong>Malgosia Bartosik<\/strong>, coordinator of the RE-Source Platform, said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>The RE-Source Platform is pleased to partner with RES Croatia to establish the RE-Source Hub in Croatia. RE-Source\u2019s goal is a world with net zero carbon emissions. 75% of our emissions are energy-related, so transferring to a fully decarbonized energy system and supporting corporates in their access to clean electricity is at the core of delivering a climate-neutral economy by the year 2050. The global transition to clean power needs to progress much faster than it is now. Even though the problem is global, we must deal with it locally. We are very much looking forward to working together with our Croatian partners to promote and implement new solutions to advance the climate agenda. Effective collaboration between the green energy buyers and sellers, as well as local authorities, will be key to pushing this ambitious goal forward.<\/em>\u201c<\/p>\n<p>The energy crisis requires innovative approaches to solving the problem of high electricity prices. It is now very clear that only the development of domestic, green, safe energy leads to energy self-sufficiency. PPA contracts enable domestic consumers and producers of renewable energy to connect through a joint venture, through a mutual project of creating a new RES project, and in that way approach banks.
