Swiss software company Pexapark has unveiled its PexaQuote software – a free online power purchase agreement (PPA) tracking tool for the European energy market. The software, pv magazine writes, can provide price analysis and help developers, utilities and corporate clean energy customers seeking PPAs.

PexaQuote enables both parties to identify the best contract structure and price within seconds, and with this software, data on more than 50 PPAs signed for different technologies in Europe can be analysed. The platform offers price indexes, a contract tracker and a quote service.

A recent report by German consultancy Enervis estimated that 8.4 GW of PPAs have been signed in the European solar sector in recent years. The study, based on data from 25 countries, found that the largest European market for PV PPAs is located in Spain. Last year alone, 4.39 GW PPAs were announced in the country to purchase solar energy.

Italy and Germany follow with 1.91 GW and 1.05 GW, respectively, and demand is also increasing in Portugal (444 MW), Denmark (338 MW), France (158 MW), Ukraine (44 MW), Poland (35 MW ), Sweden (16 MW) and the United Kingdom (6 MW).
